Community Guidelines
What belongs in AURIA Community, what does not, and what happens when someone crosses the line.
Effective November 4, 2026
What this is
AURIA Community is where people who own, build and drive cars post about them: shows and meets, work in progress, questions, and the answers that come back.
Assume everything you put here is public. Your profile, your posts, your comments, your photos and the events you submit can be read by anyone, signed in or not, and can be copied by anyone who can read them. Your email address and your AURIA ID are never shown.
These guidelines apply to everything you post, everything you send, and the name and picture on your profile. Accepting them is a condition of posting — browsing the events directory is not.
Treat people like you would at a meet
Disagree about oil intervals all you like. Do not attack the person.
- No harassment, pile-ons, or following someone around the site to needle them.
- No hate: attacking or demeaning people over race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, age, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation — including hateful symbols and slurs.
- No threats of violence against anyone, and no wishing harm on people.
- No sexual harassment, and no sexual comments about someone who did not invite them.
- No sharing anyone's private information, and no encouraging others to go after someone.
Keep it about the cars
This is a general-audience place.
- No sexual content or nudity.
- No gore, graphic injury or crash footage posted for shock.
- Nothing that promotes, romanticises or gives instructions for suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.
If you are struggling, please talk to someone who can help. In the United States you can call or text 988. We are a car site, not a crisis service, but we would rather say it than not.
Dangerous and illegal
Enthusiasm is the point. Getting someone hurt or arrested is not.
- No offering, seeking or advertising stolen vehicles, stolen parts, cloned keys or VIN-tampering services.
- No street racing, drifting, burnouts or speed runs on public roads — filmed, organised, or invited. Track days, closed courses and sanctioned events are exactly what this place is for.
- No selling or instructing others in modifications that are illegal where they are used, including emissions-defeat devices.
- No content that encourages driving impaired or otherwise endangers people around you.
No spam, no scams
- No bulk or repetitive posting, engagement farming, or link dumping.
- No fake parts, fake listings, fake escrow, or any attempt to take someone's money or account.
- If you are being paid to post about something, say so in the post. Undisclosed advertising is not allowed.
- Selling your own car or parts to people who are talking about them is fine. Turning a thread into a storefront is not.
Other people's privacy, and your own name
Do not post other people's personal information: home or work addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, documents, or anything else that identifies where someone can be found.
Photographs of cars in public, plates included, are part of car culture and are fine. Using a plate, a VIN or a photo to work out who somebody is, where they live or where they will be is not.
Do not pretend to be another person, a business, a club or a shop. A parody or fan account has to make that obvious in the name and the bio.
Post what is yours to post. If someone else took the photo, you need their permission.
Events have to be real
An event listing is something people drive to. Submit only events that exist, with the date, time and place as the organiser published them, and a link to where you found it.
Do not list an event to advertise something else, and do not re-list one that is already there.
AURIA does not sell tickets and does not run these events. A listing is a pointer to someone else's event, checked by us before it appears.
How moderation works
Two layers. Automated checks read text and look at images before they are published, using Google Cloud services described in our Privacy Policy. Then people review what those checks flag, and everything that gets reported.
- Content that fails a check is held until a person has looked at it, rather than published and cleaned up afterwards.
- We remove content that breaks these guidelines, and we do it without warning when it is serious.
- We suspend accounts that keep breaking them, and we terminate accounts for the worst of it — child sexual exploitation, credible threats, and running scams, among others. There is no warning quota to use up.
- We may remove content or limit an account to comply with the law or a lawful request.
Automated checks are not the decision. When a check is uncertain, the content waits for a person — it is never published on the strength of a machine saying nothing was wrong.
Reporting and blocking
Every post, comment, profile and event listing can be reported. Reports are private: the person you report is not told who reported them.
We aim to look at every report within 24 hours.
You can block anyone. A block hides you from each other and stops them replying to you or following you. You can also mute someone, which hides them from you without telling them.
Reporting something you simply disagree with wastes the time that keeps this place usable. Report what breaks the rules.
If we get it wrong
If your content was removed or your account was limited and you think that was a mistake, write to support@astomotion.com from the address on your account and tell us what happened. A person reads it.
We keep a copy of removed content for a limited time so we can review a decision, answer a legal request, and act on repeat behaviour. Our Privacy Policy says how long.
Changes to these guidelines
We will update these as the product grows and as we learn what is actually needed. When the rules change in a way that affects what you may post, we will ask you to read and accept them again before you post next.
