AURIA
Delete your account
How to delete your AURIA account and everything in it. You can do it yourself from Profile — in the mobile app or in any browser, no install needed — or ask us if you can no longer sign in.
Effective October 23, 2026
Option 1 — do it yourself, in the app or in a browser
This is the fastest route and needs nothing from us. You do not need the mobile app installed — AURIA runs in any browser, so this works even if you have already deleted the app from your phone.
- Sign in to the AURIA Garage — in the mobile app, or at the Garage on the web.
- Go to Profile and find Delete account.
- Type your account email to confirm, and confirm the deletion.
You will see the exact date your data will be erased. Until that date you can sign back in and cancel.
If that section shows an email address instead of a confirmation field, your app is on a version where deletion is handled by hand — use Option 2 below. Both routes reach the same place and delete the same things.
Option 2 — ask us, if you cannot sign in
If you have lost access to your account entirely — the email address is gone, or the Google or Apple sign-in no longer works — email support@astomotion.com with the subject "Delete my account".
Where you can still send mail from the address on the account, that is how we verify you — send it from there and we need nothing else. Where you cannot, tell us what you do still have and we will find another way to establish that the account is yours.
We will never ask for your password, and we cannot delete an account we are unable to verify — that protection cuts both ways, and it is the same reason someone else cannot delete yours.
We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and start deletion when we do.
What happens, and when
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Immediately | Your account is marked for deletion. Every public share link you created stops working. Every repair shop's access is revoked. Every connected AI assistant is disconnected. Any active subscription is cancelled. |
| For 30 days | You can sign in for the sole purpose of cancelling the deletion. Nothing is erased yet. This window exists so an accidental or malicious deletion can be undone. |
| After 30 days | Your account and its data are permanently erased. This cannot be undone and we cannot recover anything afterwards. |
Export anything you want to keep before you start. On Premium, each vehicle's timeline has CSV export and a resale report as a PDF or a spreadsheet; on any plan, email support@astomotion.com and we will send you a complete copy free of charge. Once the erasure runs, it is gone — we hold no backup we can restore your account from.
What is deleted
Everything below is permanently erased:
- Your profile: email address, display name, profile photo, AURIA ID and @handle. Your handle and AURIA ID are released and may later be used by someone else.
- Your sign-in credentials, and your ability to sign in at all.
- Every vehicle you own, with its VIN, license plate, registration details and valuation postal code.
- Every service record, modification, tune, fuel fill-up, odometer log, issue, warranty, insurance policy, reminder, schedule and timeline entry attached to those vehicles.
- Every photo, receipt, invoice and document you attached.
- Your saved Configurator builds, and any public build shares you created.
- Any public vehicle showcase page you published, including its photos. The page comes down as soon as you ask, not at the end of the 30 days; the photos themselves are erased when the 30 days end, so a photo link somebody already saved can keep working until then.
- Your public AURIA Community profile — display name, @handle, bio, avatar and banner — along with the images you uploaded there, the lists of people you blocked or muted, and your event submissions. The public profile comes down as soon as you ask, not at the end of the 30 days.
- What you wrote and did in AURIA Community: your posts and the comments under them, every comment and forum reply you left — on posts and on events — the forum threads you started that nobody else answered, your reposts, and the events you marked as attending. These stay up during the 30 days, so that cancelling can give them back, and are erased when the 30 days end.
- Your subscription record with us, your plan status, and your usage-analytics records.
- Your access to anyone else's shared vehicles, and any record of you in their sharing settings.
- Every AI-assistant connection, including the tokens that let an assistant reach your garage.
On your device, deleting the app also removes the local copy of your garage and any scheduled reminders. If you use AURIA in a browser, sign out to clear the local copy there.
What is kept, and why
We would rather tell you this plainly than let you discover it later. Five things survive:
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| A repair shop's copy of a service request or job you sent it | It is that shop's own business record, and the shop is an independent controller of it. We remove the link to your account and redact your contact details from our side, but we cannot delete the shop's copy. | Set by the shop and by the law that applies to it |
| The service history of a vehicle you transferred to another owner | It now belongs to that owner and stays with the car — that is the point of a transferable history. Your identity in it was already replaced with “previous owner” at the moment of transfer. | Indefinitely, as that owner's record |
| Payment and invoice records at Stripe | Tax and accounting law requires them. They are held by Stripe, not by us. | As required by law, typically 7 years |
| Events you submitted that were published, and moderation records | A published event is a real event other people are going to, so the listing stays — with your name, your @handle and every link to you removed from it. Reports you filed stay as evidence about someone else, without your identity; records of content we removed, and of reports about you, keep their outcome with you taken out of them. | Indefinitely for the listing; moderation records are de-identified at deletion |
| Forum threads you started that other members replied to | The replies are other people's words, and removing the thread would take them too. The thread stays as a removed post: its title, its text and your name are erased, and nothing on it points to you. | As long as the replies under it exist |
If you need the shop-held copy dealt with, contact the shop directly — and tell us at support@astomotion.com if you would like help identifying which shops hold what.
You may not need to delete everything
Deleting your account is permanent. If the problem is narrower, these are reversible:
- Want to stop paying? Cancel your subscription in Profile → Plan & Billing. Your data stays and your account drops to Free.
- Want to stop sharing? Revoke a share link, a shop's access, or an assistant's connection individually — each is a single control in the app.
- Want to stop tracking one car? Archive that vehicle in your garage — it leaves your active list and its reminders stop, and you can restore it at any time. Archiving keeps the car's records; deleting your account is what erases them.
- Want a copy of your data? On Premium, export from any vehicle's timeline tools. On any plan, ask us for a complete export.
- Want the notifications to stop? Turn off reminder notifications in Profile.
